Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Associate Project Manager to join our team in the Public Sector. In this remote position, you will be instrumental in the planning, directing, and coordination of implementation projects. Your primary aim will be to ensure that project goals and client objectives are achieved within established timelines, scopes, and budgets, following a proven project management methodology.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess project Statement of Work (SOW) to evaluate schedule, budget, resource requirements, and overall project strategy.
- Collaborate with Solution Consultants to set and achieve project objectives.
- Communicate scope expectations effectively, managing any deviations with all project stakeholders.
- Foster and maintain robust relationships with customers and key personnel.
- Prepare and present Project Change Requests for any adjustments to scope or contracts.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive implementation Project Plan from inception to completion.
- Facilitate bi-weekly sprint planning and daily stand-up meetings with the cross-functional project team.
- Coordinate activities of the cross-functional project team to ensure adherence to schedule and budget.
- Update resource and project projections for the team’s portfolio.
- Identify, track, and resolve project risks and issues promptly, escalating when necessary.
- Organize and lead project planning and status meetings with customers and management.
- Provide regular updates on project progress and timelines to internal and external stakeholders through status reports.
- Coordinate efforts to implement custom solutions across various departments, integrating multi-departmental tasks into the overall Project Plan.
- Establish evaluation criteria for project deliverables and conduct thorough reviews for completeness.
- Maintain and archive project documentation in a shared repository.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members to cultivate a collaborative environment.
- Document and disseminate lessons learned upon project completion.
- Actively participate in internal PMO discussions, applying insights gained to enhance project and process improvements.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- An associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
